Ricardo Motorcycle Conference 4.0
On Monday 6. November 2017 the Ricardo Motorcycle Conference 4.0, Riding Future Technologies took place in Milan.
Once again, the event took place the day before the EICMA show opened its doors to press and industry visitors. Our aim was to build on the success of the previous years, bringing together global motorcycle experts in Milan. The event picked up on a number of topics focusing both on the current trends and future drivers of the motorcycle world, and was again extended by three Expert Dialogues.
Many thanks to all the participants who made this fourth conference a success!
An audience of 130 motorcycle industry professionals from 17 countries attended. The event was opened by Paul Etheridge, head of strategy and business development for Ricardo Motorcycle, followed by a keynote address from Antonio Perlot, Secretary General of the European Association of Motorcycle Manufactures (ACEM). The technical papers were delivered by engineers from Akrapovic, Bosch, Ducati, Fenris Motorcycles, FEV, Graz University, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, KTM, Ricardo, WIVW and Yamaha.
This year delegates were also provided with the opportunity to participate in an interactive Expert Dialogues in addition to the main conference programme. Specialists from automotive and motorcycle engineering shared their latest technologies and developed ideas in conjunction with delegates as to when and how they might be applied to future motorcycle development.
The conference itself took place in Palazzo Visconti – a beautiful, historic Italian building and one of the best examples of Milanese Rococo. The day concluded with a networking evening at Deus ex Machina in an area that is very fittingly known as being at the heart of motorcycle customizing in Milan. All those present capitalized on the possibility to expand their network of like–minded people, making and renewing valuable global motorcycle industry contacts while enjoying the atmosphere in a relaxed and interesting venue.
We look forward to welcoming you to the fifth Ricardo Motorcycle Conference!
